Dr. Wani is one of the most experienced gynecologist and lactation consultant in Pune. We had consulted three male doctors and one female doctor. After my wife’s breast abscess surgery, they advised us to stop breastfeeding for 2-3 months to allow her to recover. However, Dr. Wani strongly opposed stopping breastfeeding and recommended against giving formula to our newborn baby. If you are looking for an experienced doctor who will tell you the truth and treat you with a firm but loving hand , she is the best doctor. My son was preterm and the hospitals that sprouts like mushrooms during rains had lots of people around me postpartum but none that were experienced enough. She made sure the baby was brought to mom's care on time and took good care of me despite the fact that she had been ill the day I had my baby. Also she ensured it was a normal delivery. Her clinic has classes for pre and post delivery care which I found very useful.
