I want to share a deeply disappointing and painful experience we had with Ms. Dnyanada J. Potdar at Hear Well Clinic, Powai, hoping it will help other parents avoid a similar situation. When we first called the clinic to inquire about consultation and therapy fees, we were simply told to visit in person. Trusting their guidance, we went to the clinic, unaware of how things would unfold. As soon as we arrived, the therapist Ms Dnyanada J. Potdar began the consultation without asking about or reviewing the assessment report we had from a previous center. When we mentioned it midway through the session, she barely acknowledged it, continuing with her own process. We patiently cooperated, answering all her questions, and she even interacted briefly with our child. Eventually, Ms. Dnyanada J. Potdar scheduled the therapy sessions, and we were under the impression that everything was proceeding smoothly. But then came the shock—after a consultation that lasted less than 45 minutes, we were informed that the consultation fee was ₹4,000, and each therapy session (60 minutes) would cost ₹3,000. This was never communicated to us in advance. At that moment, we felt helpless, hurt, and deceived. With no prior information about such exorbitant charges, we were left with no choice but to pay—despite the deep emotional and financial strain it caused us. What hurt the most was the insensitive, business-like approach taken towards something as delicate as a child's therapy. Parents come to such clinics with hope, trust, and emotional vulnerability, seeking the best for their children. But instead of understanding and transparency, we were met with a purely money-driven attitude. I am sharing this experience so that other parents do not go through the same distress. Please always ask about consultation fees and therapy charges in detail before visiting any clinic. Your child’s well-being is important, but so is transparency and respect from the professionals you trust. No parent should be put in a position where their emotions are taken advantage of. If this helps even one parent make a more informed decision, sharing our pain will be worth it.
Highly recommended. Definitely see progress in childs speech and communication skills. Mam records all progress in a file for parents reference and post every class shares videos of what activities child did in the center. So as a parent you are aware of whats happening.
I was gobsmacked to see a significant change in both my kid's speech and in their behaviour. Dnyanada Ma'am did an incredible job in bringing such changes in them through therapy. Within a week of 2-3 sittings ,I saw tremendous improvement in the way my children spoke. My elder son needed speech improvement therapy whereas my younger one needed speech and Occupational Therapy for his hyperactivity. We as parents are truly blessed to have her as our children's therapist . She continued guiding us with instructions of how to go about and practice specific words and activities after we returned home post every therapy sessions. I will truly recommend Dnyanada Potdar Ma'am for any parents who are struggling with their kids having delayed speech or hyperactivity. Hence she deserves a full 5 Star rating from a very happy and content Mother in seeing her child do well post therapy 😊
I came to the doctor with the reference from my close friend. The doctor is very good, kind and patient with the child. I see remarkable positive change in my child's speech and improvement in vocabulary within a couple of sessions. I highly recommend to anyone seeking for speech therapy.
