Giving birth at California Birth Center was one of the most empowering experiences of my life. Everything is impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed, which gave me full confidence in the professionalism and safety of the care I received. The center operates with a team of midwives, and you meet a different one at each appointment. I genuinely appreciated how intentional and unhurried the prenatal care was. Each visit lasted a full hour, giving us the time and space to connect with the midwives, ask questions, and feel truly heard. Nothing ever felt rushed or overly clinical — every appointment felt like a deep check-in, not only with my physical health but also with my emotional and spiritual well-being throughout the pregnancy. During labor, a midwife and an assistant were present. They held space for me with such grace — never intrusive, but always present and intuitive when I needed support. After the birth, we were thoroughly cared for and sent home with everything we needed. The following day, they visited our home to check on both baby and me. They offered helpful lactation support, guidance, and continued postpartum care for both of us in the weeks that followed. I felt seen, heard, and deeply respected every step of the way. I truly cannot recommend California Birth Center enough.
This was more than a great prenatal care and labor experience, this was a life changing period of time for myself that I will hold onto forever. I have had three previous children with Kaiser- prenatal/birthing/postpartum. The care was always okay at best. However, the treatment I received during my fourth pregnancy was so unprofessional and horrifying that I switched at 6 months pregnant to CBC after a recommendation from a friendLet me tell you, the care was like night and day. I HAPPILY drove from Galt to Rocklin each appointment, knowing that I was visiting a loving and safe space. California Birth Center's staff and midwives became like family. All of my prenatal appts were informative, relaxed, and an hour long. Every concern or question that I had was patiently explained to me or a solution proposed. My labor was exactly what I wanted it to be and my birth plan was respected and encouraged. I wasn't poked and prodded and questioned a million times. I knew my body and they trusted me 100%. The room had everything I needed in there. During postpartum, lactation support was given and as they checked on baby, they made sure to check on mom as well. I was made to feel like a human being and not another name on a chart. My daughter received amazing care. This place and this experience was healing, empowering, and something I wish for all mothers. I cannot sing it enough praises. I can talk about this place for hours. Thank you, CBC, for everything!
I gave birth 5-2025 and I had a really good experience here, very few interruptions during labor, and everything went smooth. I was in the tub the whole time 😂 getting hot water sprayed on my back. I really cannot complain, the only thing I'd say is know your plan, and it's okay to get a second opinion and test, they thought my water broke and did a test which came back positive but when we did a second test it was in fact not positive, I'm glad they were able to give me a second test and not rush the process 🩷 much love for the midwives here and staff
The best experience!! From prenatal care, birth and postpartum care, the Birth Center offers the most caring, personal support in every stage. They offered holistic support and resources for everything I brought up. My favorite thing about the Birth Center is how family oriented they are. Children are welcome at appointments, snacks provided, the staff is the friendliest and makes you feel at home. The Birth Suites offer a ton of options for labor support! I loved that a midwife comes to you postpartum, no need to go to the pediatrician the day after giving birth! Midwives take care of both mom and baby for 6 weeks. Overall, the care at The California Birth Center doesn’t compare, i highly recommend them to all expecting parents.
California Birth Center was the BEST. I can’t even articulate how wonderful it was! As a first time mom and new to the area I started looking into birth centers. Heard about this one and went in to tour! Fell in love with the space and the care they offer. They felt like friends! All the midwives are amazing… SO attentive, easy to get ahold of for questions, and so encouraging. All of my appointments were no less than an hour and we covered every possible thing while also getting to know each other:) which is so nice when you are in labor and have a familiar relationship! Going into labor, I rotated through 3 different midwives over a couple of days. Each of them were absolutely amazing and really worked with me to get things going naturally. They truly care about what your birth plan is and they are there to help you in any way you need. I loved being able to have such an incredible labor as a first time mom… it was everything I wanted. They help you through it to your comfort level and make it fun and happy! Drinking coffee in the dark on the floor while you labor in the tub:) they then served us food after the birth and left us for two hours with our precious girl! Postpartum care was amazing as well. Overall this place will always hold a special place in my heart… would have all my next births here if we still lived here. So grateful for California Birth Center!!
