Such a comforting and supportive place! The midwife centre truly feels like home — nothing like the typical hospital environment. The nurses and midwives are always available, friendly, and caring. My midwife was there every step of the way, guiding me through exercises and continuously monitoring the baby, making normal delivery feel natural and well-supported. We had a wonderful experience at Aastrika Midwifery Center for my wife’s normal delivery. Dr. Vinutha has been the best throughout the journey, cannot thank her enough for all the confidence and support that she gave. From the beginning of the labour, the support we received from Sister Tintu and Sister Anju was truly exceptional. They were calm, encouraging, and extremely caring throughout the birthing process. The entire nursing team also deserve a big thank you for their expertise and warmth. The service and cleanliness were excellent. The hospital staff were very responsive — from arranging food from the canteen to even providing hot chocolate or coffee whenever requested. The support for sitz baths, breastfeeding guidance, and even small but important things like swaddling and helping with baby feeding positions made a huge difference for us as new parents. However, there are a few areas that could be improved: The discharge process took quite long, especially when Vasavi billing was involved. It would help if the reception team could initiate the paperwork earlier to make the process smoother. The Part B reimbursement form was poorly filled and missing the hospital seal, which created unnecessary confusion. My wife also had an unpleasant experience with Sister Ranjitha, who was quite dismissive, lacked basic manners and rude especially towards a new mother who just delivered her baby. I would not have mentioned this if it was just once, it happened 2-3 times. New mothers are in a very vulnerable state, and a little empathy goes a long way. That said, we don’t want this one incident to overshadow our overall positive experience. Aastrika is an excellent choice for a natural and normal birthing experience, and most of the staff are incredibly kind, patient, and supportive — always ready to help, no matter how small the question. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a compassionate, midwife-led birthing journey!
I was initially very anxious about natural childbirth, especially in today's context where C-sections are increasingly common, either by choice or due to hospital preferences. I was determined to have a vaginal birth, knowing that while the process might be challenging, the long-term recovery and benefits would be worth it. I checked into the hospital on Thursday, 11th September 2025, around 10 PM. I had opted for the Silver Package, which included a 3-day stay. However, due to medical recommendations, I had to extend my stay by a day to undergo induced labor through oral medication. I was administered six doses (at 4-hour intervals) to help initiate labor naturally. My active labor began on Friday, 12th September 2025, around 8 PM. From that point onward, I was under the exceptional care of midwife Tintu, who stayed with me throughout the night and supported me until I delivered at 7:56 AM on Saturday, 13th September 2025. I am now blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Immediately after delivery, I was offered skin-to-skin contact with my baby, followed by care from the in-house pediatric team. The medical staff, especially Dr. Dwani who assisted during delivery, were outstanding. She guided me through proper breathing techniques, which helped me deliver without any tearing or complications. I highly recommend **Aastrika Midwifery Centre** for anyone seeking a clean, supportive, and empowering birthing experience. Dr. Anupama, with her extensive experience, offered valuable guidance throughout my pregnancy. The center follows a group practice model involving Dr. Anupama, Dr. Dwani, and Dr. Vinutha. Over the 10-month period, I had consultations with all three, and I appreciated their consistent and holistic approach. Importantly, they avoid unnecessary scans or tests and offer flexibility in choosing diagnostic centers. Their focus is truly on the well-being of the mother and baby, not on commercial gain. Midwife Tintu, in particular, was a pillar of strength for me. I consider this center no less than a temple, and her support divine. Additionally, the hospital handled all the insurance-related formalities efficiently. As a corporate insurance holder unfamiliar with the process, I was relieved to find everything taken care of without any added stress. Overall, I rate my experience a 10/10 and wholeheartedly recommend **Aastrika Midwifery Centre** to anyone considering a normal delivery. It is truly a place where natural birth is respected and supported with care and expertise.
