The most lovely midwifery! Bringing new life into this world is such a blessing, but it’s also frightening to a new mom (at least for me). I was naive, but I knew is that a chilly hospital wasn’t for me and an at home birth was also a bit scary. I wasn’t sure what to expect at a birth center, but it’s the perfect mix of the two with heavy emphasis on the at home feeling. Every bit of my experience was lovely. I always felt very welcome, wanted, and cared about at every single one of my appointments and then when it was time to give birth, while my birth wasn’t “traditional” in the sense, the midwife team was incredible through all of it! I welcomed a sweet baby with the best team in the best environment and I’d do it all again. Thank you to Tamara and her team 1000000 times over.
When our original plans to give birth at another birthing center unexpectedly fell through, I was devastated, but little did I know it would be the best thing that could have happened. After some research, I found A Family Affair Birth Center and connected with Tamara, who was beyond kind, understanding, and accommodating. I quickly felt so much encouragement and relief and knew we were just where we were meant to be all along. My experience with midwives Tamara and Darynee was incredible. They always treated me, my husband, and my baby with love and care and made us feel like family! From prenatal care to labor & delivery to postpartum care, we had the most incredible experience and couldn't ask for more. If we have another child, we will definitely be using these wonderful midwives and their birth center. 10/10 I recommend them!
I loved my experience with A Family Affair Birth Center, it went as well as I could've imagined. Tamara was very informative on what we could do if I wanted to help labor on but was by no means pushing anything on me. My husband and I were in control, and Tamara and Dee were helping us along the way, just like I wanted. I also loved that Tamara was my midwife the whole way along, that was another very important factor that I wanted to know the person alongside me helping me during my birth, so I was already comfortable with her before it was the big day. When we are ready for our next I'd love to use Tamara again if we're still in the area.
What a relaxing and wonderful experience. They actually listen to you! They had answers for all our questions and more. It felt like the midwives knowledge went much deeper than our worries. Spinning babies was a game changer for my wife as the bump got bigger. It helped her walk and carry the baby comfortably. We were so so blessed to be able to deliver our little on at A Family Affair Birth Center. Tamara, Darynee, and Denise are such an amazing team of birth professionals. They truly made us feel at home and comfortable leading up to the birth and even more so during the birth because of their warm personalities and immense knowledge of birth. They listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to make sure we would have our dream birth, and we did! I highly recommend their birth center to anyone looking to have an out of hospital birth. They truly care about their clients and getting them the very best prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, while providing a comfortable and home like environment.
