Mrs Emily is fabulous. She is great with the kids. My son is 5 months and has a great time. Theres also a class for babies a bit older and she is great with the little ones who crawl and walk too. She has a soothing friendly voice . The children learn sign language, practice patience, great motor development, different sounds and instruments, body parts and more its a great time for baby and mom. Plus her prices are so reasonable and class size is small and she makes each baby feel special. We just completed our 3rd week and my son is starting to get the routine down. Its cool watching the babies who have been going a while do the song movements and know what comes next. Another plus is all the moms have been so nice and welcoming. Im a bit shy and I feel so comfortable playing and singing with my baby. Very laid back yet structured environment. Wish I would've known about Mrs Emily with my older boys. Ok im done rambling but I just cant recommend this class enough!
I started taking my son to Family Music and Movement when he was 7 months and we have now been going for over a year. The both of us love it now just as much as in the beginning. Mrs. Emily is a fantastic teacher and is great at keeping the attentions of all the little ones in class, and that is hard to do when ages range from 8 weeks to 2 years. My son always looks forward to class and we will be sad when he ages out of it. This class had already taught my son(who is currently 20 months) how to wait for the next activity and that has helped at home. Not only is he learning to love music but he is learning useful skills for when he gets older.
I took my son to Ms. Emily’s music class for over a year and we both LOVED it! It was our favorite activity of the week together. He’s over 2 now and we still sing the songs together! I hope to start taking my second baby to her classes soon! It is a great class to meet other moms and make baby’s first friends.
My daughter loved going to music and movement! This was her first structured class and it was very appropriate for her age! The structure set up, transitions and repetition were so great for her and prepared her for starting preschool. She was so sad to graduate out of this class, she still talks about Miss Emily and music class (7 months later) I can’t wait for this summer when I can bring my son!
We absolutely love these classes!! I take my 3 month old and 20 month old and it’s engaging and fun for both! The structure is the same each week so they know what to expect! Ms. Emily is the absolute sweetest and so wonderful with the kids. It’s a very low pressure environment where kids just explore and be kids! They aren’t required to just sit, they can roam and explore and get that energy out! And for my littlest he loves the noises and it’s such great exposure. If you are looking for a fun activity I would 100% sign up!
