Olivia and her team are by far the best thing that ever happened to me. I’ve had two homrbirths with them. I can’t imagine bringing a child into the world in a more perfect way. My prenatal care was absolutely top notch. I was never left in a waiting room. They were always present and my visits were long and authentic. I wish everyone could have this type of care during pregnancy!
I contacted and hired Midwifery Services in May 2022 for my daughter who was due 12/25. I was accepted as a client and paid $5000 to Midwifery Services. This fee was to cover prenatal care, home birth delivery services and postnatal care. Midwifery Services provided prenatal care up until December. Prenatal care was provided by Jamie and Lesa (who were wonderful) for 99% of my pregnancy. Later, additional midwives joined the team as well. I met Olivia once and that was because Jamie had a family loss and was out of office for a few weeks. I knew this was the case when I chose them as my birth team. A few days before my due date my blood pressure was considered high and the team was nervous I was becoming preeclamptic. I was sent to the hospital on 12/19 to be checked. At the hospital they told me everything was fine, keep an eye on my blood pressure but no need to worry. Being that I was considered full term at this point the hospital said if I wanted to be induced I could be, but I declined. My midwife team said to check my blood pressure and if it went about 120 to let them know.I went home and regularly tested my blood pressure. On 12/21 I checked my blood pressure and it was at 163/99. I waited and it went down to 145/98. I texted the midwife team and let them know at which point they sent me back to the hospital. The hospital nurse expressed they don’t consider moms preeclamptic until the blood pressure is at 160 or above but since I was full term they suggested induction. My midwife team agreed so I was induced and had a hospital birth. I did have one of the midwives show up and act as a doula for my birth and I am very grateful for that. After giving birth I should have received a six week post op check up which did not occur. I reached out to Olivia, the owner of midwifery services, expressing my concerns, asking for answers and a partial refund as I didn’t feel my hospital birth could be justified and did not received a response. I reached out again and was told a response was sent. I sent a screenshot of the email thread proving no email was received and requested the email be forwarded with again no response.
Olivia and Jericho are amazing. And Josie is a GREAT assistant. They are patient, realistic and upfront and have no problems listening to and advising you and your mommy-to-be problems.
Awesome to work with. Best burr experience ever. Hope to still be in the area next time. My wife and I absolutely love Olivia!
