Before joining Nikhil Sir's class I was just playing flute on some Bollywood songs, few bandish/gat in various Hindusthani classical raagas. It has been more than year I am learning from Nikhil Sir. After joining Divine music school everything changed. This journey started by playing (mandra) Pa to (Madhya) Pa, back to basics. Daily practice of long notes for 15 minutes then playing Pa to Pa in 100 bpm speed and then increase the speed to 150 and then 200 bpm. Even though learning sessions are weekly, if I am not practicing daily, Nikhil Sir will immediately catch me. There is no alternative for hard work. Along with that Nikhil Sir used to give me 2-3 complex palatas to practice daily. After six months my blowing of flute has improved and finger movements became lot of flexible as compared to the way i used to play earlier. This echoes what Nikhil Sir says "Flute is already a tuned instrument we just need to improve on blowing and finger movements". Along with me, my family, friends started noticing the difference in the way I was playing flute. I even had an experience while buying an E-Base flute where the shop owner asked about my teacher. When I told him it was Nikhil Sir, he immediately said he had met few of his students and every one of them played beautifully. Sir has been so patient with me, he will keep on repeating if I have not understood. Even then if I have not understood, then I request recording from sir and that worked for me. If you're serious about learning the bansuri, I strongly recommend Nikhil Sir and Divine Music School. It’s not just a class—it’s a journey of transformation.

Great flute learning experience with Nikhil Sir, never thought online classes can be this effective. I've been learning flute for over 6 months now and can see a marked change in my flute playing capability. A lot of things I self learnt from YouTube for about a year were not helping me progress and were actually hampering my learning. I highly recommend taking these classes if you are serious about learning flute.
