I was absolutely gobsmacked when I saw the centre. I've visited plenty of care centres, but none like St. Jude. It was extremely clean - no stains anywhere, everything in its place, toilets as clean as hotels, even the outside areas were clean, which is a difficult job in the Mumbai monsoons. Everything looked new and well-maintained - no paint coming off, absence of stains, all facilities up and running. The staff was really friendly and courteous. And above all, the families and children well taken care of, with not just the necessary help given while they undergo treatment, but to ensure that learning and playtime don't stop and also keeping the parents engaged and imparting new skills to them. Hope you keep up the great work and continue to help thousands of more in need of angels like you.
The St. Jude India child care center is a NGO, they provides accommodation and other facilities to cancer children's from TATA hospital. This center is running in collaboration between TATA hospital and Bombay port trust. This place is very close to cotton green railway station, walking distance 10-12 mins from station.
