Some ago I had the good privilege of hosting a talk with Karanika, Foodnanny on the topic of 'Raisning Joyful Eaters- Letting Go of Control and Trusting Your Child With Food'. She did full justice to this topic which is so crucial in early parenting. Her knowledge and application of the food sciences, was commendable and she gave such thoughtful, research backed ideas on how trends, and fads in modern eating habits were coming in the way of our intuitive eating. I deeply appreciate and resonate with her approach of not selling fear based diets and meal plans. She believes in nurturing our bodies holistically and my greatest respects to her for her work. Thank you Karanaika. Hope to work together in the future as well.
The postpartum gut issues led me to foodnanny and I did not regret it. Unlike the influential diets, foodnanny plans are realistic (no grocery shopping with list of complex, imported, hard to get grains required), wholesome (with diet, exercise and food routine guidance) and sustainable (imparts understanding of meal and nutrition which are easy to implement even after the plan is over). Karanika is polite, articulate and effective in her approach. It is a great professional team of people passionate about healthy living.
Had the privilege of doing a podcast with Karanika in May 25. She gives such practical n easy to adopt diet tips n makes everything sound so simple. My patients still enjoy watching that podcast on skin and nutrition. Would love to do a series with her if n when she has time 😊. Thanks a lot for your time n tips !
They say trust the process — but with Karanika, you learn to trust the person. She’s like a gut whisperer and a food scientist rolled into one. She will focus on exactly what your body needs, give you steps that sound deceptively simple, and back them with science (not the random “my aunt said so” kind of advice). But here’s the thing — you actually have to follow them. Blindly. Like GPS directions in a city you’ve never been to. You can ask her as many questions as you want (and trust me, I did) — she will have answers. And if not, she’ll find them. I’ll be honest — in the beginning, I had my disagreements. Some things didn’t make sense to me, and I may have rolled my eyes once or twice. But then the changes started to show up — my energy shot up, my sleep got deeper, and my body started feeling like its best version. That’s when I realized… I was under “The Karanika Effect.” Here’s my favorite part: I had a sweet tooth that could rival Willy Wonka’s. Now, after a year and a half with Karanika, I have zero sugar cravings. And no, she didn’t ban sweets or make me swear on a kale leaf. She just made me change one tiny thing: the timing of when I eat them. That’s it. She’s not my first “food nanny” — but she’s the only one who never said “Don’t eat that.” Instead, she quietly rewired my habits without making me feel deprived. So, my advice? Trust her process, trust her science, and do what she says — because if you stick around long enough, you’ll see it too. And when you do, you’ll smile and say… “Ah, the Karanika Effect.”😍
Karanika is an amazing nutritionist. I never thought dieting is this simple and it’s not actually dieting but eating the right way and eating mindfully. Span of three months changed me immensely and every recipe shared by her is just so simple and delicious and also easy to get. Thank you will never be enough for the help I got from her and how it changed my health. I recommend everyone out there to try and consult Karanika for whatever health issues you’ve got and that you want to eat mindfully.
