I did prenatal yoga (private sessions) with Birth N Beyond. Bijal was my instructor. I must say it was a very good experience from enrolling into the program to execution. The highlight of it all was that Bijal customised the exercises for a given session based on my health, any issues I was facing, and my overall comfort, which I feel is very important when it comes to yoga during pregnancy. My relationship with Birth and Beyond had started way before my pregnancy. They were my family and my go to people for anything related to physiotherapy. I have worked closely with Zahabia and can say that she has excellent knowledge to guide us in this area. I started my in person sessions and groups sessions from the 3rd month of my pregnancy and right till the end of it. The prenatal classes are a lot of fun and engaging. I worked closely with Feba and Alia who were so caring and motivating through all my sessions. I even attended their prenatal lamaze online classes to understand what to expect during and after delivery with my partner. I would recommend these classes to all the to-be moms to help them prepare their body and mind for labour and beyond.
I joined birth and beyond in my second trimester and I can easily say that it was a complete gamechanger for my pregnancy journey. The physiotherapists especially Dr Zahabia and Dr Alia helped me ease my pains through the right combination of breathwork and exercises. I believe the level of strength and flexibility I achieved through the course of the program is helping me even 3 months post partum. Highly recommend it to all soon to be mommas!
