If I could go back and have my first 2 prenatal care and births at Atlanta Birth Center, I would in a heartbeat. When I first looked into ABC, I wasn’t sure—and there weren't many other places, but I decided to go through the assessment anyway. Now, five months postpartum, I know it was one of the best choices I’ve ever made. I’ll admit, I didn’t love having to get my sonogram and labs done elsewhere, but in hindsight, it made things more convenient. My first visit at ABC blew me away—the amount of time they spent with me and the education I received was unlike anything I’d experienced before. I even came in with a pre-existing illness that hadn’t been diagnosed and Cat figured it out and got me together by the time it was all said and done! Every prenatal visit felt warm and personal, and when it came time for my baby’s birth, the experience was incredible. Every staff member knew me, my history, and my wishes. It truly felt like family. I love that ABC is filled with such a diverse team of women—it made me feel understood and at ease every step of the way. A sincere Thank You to Brittany, Cat, Sandi, Constance, Danielle (both of you), Ausha, Kiana, and more whose names I can’t recall but will never forget. My little one entered the world surrounded by the best of care, and I will always be grateful. Highly recommend Atlanta Birth Center to any momma who wants to feel seen, heard, and truly have a home away from home delivery.
I had a wonderful experience here! Every prenatal visit was intimate and calming. Every staff was respectful and supportive. When it was time to give birth, they were efficient and comforting. They did not have any liners for the pool during my birth, but someway somehow the nurse Midwife made some calls and got a liner delivered to the birthing center just for me! I was able to give birth in the pool as I planned. After birth, both baby and I were taken great care of. 10/10 recommend!
I gave birth at Atlanta Birth Center less than a week ago and am writing this review while the memory is fresh in my mind (even though I could use more sleep!). This was my second time delivering at ABC, and while the first time was great, this second time was even better. The staff is friendly and attentive, the midwives are caring and really take their time to ask you questions and respond to yours at every appointment. I always felt welcome. I ended up going past my due date, but the midwife's membrane sweep at the 41-week appointment probably sped things along and I went into labor that very night. When we arrived at the birth center, the birthing room I had previously picked out was all ready to go and they prepped the pool quickly. I was able to labor freely on the floor, on the bed, and in the pool where I had the baby. I felt physically and emotionally supported by the midwives and birth assistant as I navigated through each stage of labor. Once the baby was born, we were well taken care of by a postpartum nurse, and that extended peaceful and quiet time to bond with the baby meant a lot to us because we have a big family at home. The next day, we had our postpartum nurse check-up where the midwife patiently guided us through the important logistics of postpartum and newborn care. Thanks to ABC, we were able to have another wonderful birthing experience, and as I sit in my bed writing this review, next to my newborn, I feel grateful and humbled by it all. ABC has been the best experience for comprehensive prenatal care, labor & delivery, and regular women’s WellCare. The staff is super understanding and accommodating, visits are individualized and last 30 minutes to an hour instead of 5 minutes like a traditional OBGYN. Our birth experience was very calm and they handled everything quickly and promptly. Our nurses were very informative for after birth care and came to our house the next day for our baby check up! I would recommend ABC to anyone eligible and we will be returning should we have another baby!
The Atlanta Birth center is a great place. I have no knowledge of home births or birth centers but my wife wanted to go that route for our first child. They have made the experience enjoyable and comfortable. Everyone is kind and the hospitality is out of this world. Really recommend ABC to mothers who want their birth to go smooth, and to feel well taken care of.
