I hired Nikita for my second child's birth early 2025, and I have been more than grateful for her work. There were two prenatal visits in person involving me and my husband, which have been key in getting to know each other and be ready for the birth time. During labor, Nikita has been present throughout, her knowledge and techniques have helped greatly to progress in the labour. She stayed with us a whole night, supporting each contraction with a helping hand. She's kept me going when I was down and really held my hand throughout. I felt fully supported and this has made my birth experience a positive one. I would recommend Nikita to anyone preparing for the birth of their babies to have full support and expertise.
I knew what a doula was, I had one for my first birth. But having Nikita as my doula for my second was a whole other experience. Her warmth, genuine care and unconditional support had a huge impact on my birthing experience, right from the day we first spoke which was in my 8th week! The feeling of knowing you have someone in your corner, to help you work through every thought, fear and situation, created a sense of confidence & empowerment all the way through. I appreciated the effort she took to come meet us even before we signed up, it made us feel that she understood what it meant to invite someone into your space for birthing and the trust and comfort that was required for it. Her prenatal sessions were amazing! The first one was like spending 2 hours with a friend, chatting about our thoughts and fears and having this friend helping us work through those by providing perspective - my husband & I felt lighter after this session. I loved the labyrinth activity that we did in the second session - it is a process of visualising what is to come during labour and postpartum, and what the mother’s feelings about that phase are. It really helped bring focus and clarity to what I wanted and what was important to me. I had the most peaceful water birth at home and with the best team - my husband, doctor & doula. Nikita was my strength in the last few moments before the baby came, cheering me on and motivating me to keep going. She was patient and present while I nursed my baby for the first time, checking the latch & guiding me on positions I could try. She stayed with us for a couple of hours just to be around and see if anything was needed and even went to the kitchen to make me a snack & warm beverage. I was pleasantly surprised by the extra mile she went to even after the birth. Her support continued even after - constantly checking in, helping wherever she could and again cheering me on. I would highly recommend Nikita as a doula!
I was incredibly fortunate to have Nikita as my doula for my daughter's birth. I was able to have the unmedicated labor and birth I had hoped for, and I know that was only possible thanks to Nikita. She was worth her weight in gold. I knew that doulas provided emotional support, but I was amazed by the technical and physical support Nikita provided as well. She applied counter-pressure massage during each of my contractions, held my hand as I pushed and when I was getting stitches afterwards. She worked as a teammate with my doctor to monitor my labor's progress and assist in getting my baby to move into the best position for birth - specifically, her technical expertise of rebozo techniques was so helpful to moving my baby down! She provided emotional support to me, but also my husband and mom too. My husband and I really gained comfort with Nikita during her prenatal visits where she came to our home and we were able to have intimate conversations about our hopes, fears, and questions regarding birth. Nikita's support extended beyond the birth as she regularly checked in with me to answer my postpartum questions. My husband and I also attended Nikita's Lamaze birth classes and learned a lot from her. She is kind, open and thoughtful when answering our questions and had a lot of useful content that made us feel more prepared for what to expect :) Overall, we whole-heartedly recommend Nikita!!!!
Nikita was such a blessing to our birth experience! Everything from prenatal preparation sessions, to day-of support, to postpartum care- she was so diligent, kind, and helpful! Nikita is very knowledgeable and easy to feel comfortable around. She helped us achieve the natural birth we were hoping for. If you are looking for a doula, look no further. Nikita is so wonderful!
I met Nikita during an ad-hoc session I decided to attend online. I Instantly loved her style of sharing knowledge i.e. personalised, practical, warm, interactive and passionate ! As a follow up, I took pre-natal online lamaze classes from her in my 8th of pregnancy . Again the above style of teaching helped and stuck; and I feel better prepared and informed for my birth. Adding in, she has been available post classes for the smallest doubts, which feels like a great safety net. Super thanks ♥️
