After two very difficult 2nd trimester miscarriages last year, my husband and I really wanted a midwife for our (rather unexpected) pregnancy that would reassure us and provide a peaceful atmosphere…Sandra was exactly who we needed! She was incredibly detailed in her care of us and baby. She went above and beyond on multiple occasions and gave me space to talk through anything at all during our appointments together…sometimes baby related and sometimes not. When it came time for my 16 week appointment (when I had lost the other two babies) she was so sensitive to that and prayed over my belly as well as allowing me to borrow her mobile Doppler monitor so that I could reassure myself for the next few weeks that baby was still healthy. It was such a comfort! We opted for a homebirth as all of our other children were born in a birthing center and we wanted to have a new experience. During birth, she and Megan were very prepared, attentive, informative, but not pushy. I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a midwife home and will be referring any friends that are expecting! We are so thankful for our experience!
Sandra has been my midwife for three of my babies, two of which were born at home and one at the birth center. I always felt well cared for—she is knowledgeable, confident, and truly knows what she’s doing medically. Beyond that, she is a woman of faith, and her prayers over me and my babies meant so much. This last birth, her student midwife Meghan was a true gem—she handled most of my labor and delivery like a pro, with such calmness and skill. I’m so grateful for both of them and would wholeheartedly recommend their care.
My husband and I prayed so hard to be able to find a midwife that we felt safe and comfortable with through our pregnancy journey. Sandra was definitely the answer to those prayers. She is all around so incredible. She will always be very upfront and real with you! Which I appreciated so much. Her assistants are also amazing; Meghan always kept me laughing and her genuine care and soothing during my birth really helped me get through it. Sandra is an incredible midwife. Her bedside manner is wonderful— she takes the time to listen to your stresses and concerns. When we ran into some respiratory issues with our son after birth, she stayed and monitored him until she felt comfortable with how he was doing. Megan’s first birth was mine (student midwife with prior doula experience), and all I have to say are good things about her. She said exactly what I needed to hear while I was in labor. I am so grateful for my beautiful home birth. If I was able to have more babies, I would have Sandra and her students on my care team in a heartbeat. Thank you for giving me such a great experience! My baby is now 9 months old, and Sandra messaged me the other day to check on how we’re doing. She is such a caring soul. Highly recommend this birthing center!
I could not have asked for a better midwife than Sandra! In October, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl at home and had a home birth that went amazingly well. Sandra and her assisting midwife to be made the checkups and birthing experience an honest delight. And I felt safe and comforted. Sandra has a personality that puts one at ease, with humor, knowledge and wisdom that helped me to feel like everything would turn out alright, as it should be. To have the energy and work ethic that she does is incredible, I don’t know how she manages it all! I will be forever grateful to have come across Sandra, and for her taking me on. If I have another child while here in Texas, I would instantly want to return to Sandra. 🤍
